FAQ’s
Below you will find some of the most frequently asked questions. If you do not find what you are looking for please feel free to arrange a videocall during which I will do everything possible to answer your queries.
Do I need to be a Martial Artist to train and study with you?
There is no necessity for any formal training prior to starting your learning process with us.
What is so different about your "self defense" than any others?
In truth there is no magic here. The only real difference is that we look at the “whole” that is the problem related to self defence, and not just the physical. In different modules we look at the physiology, biological and psychological as well as the physical. We have interviewed and studied hundreds of incarcerated criminals convicted of violent and sometimes deadly crimes to find out the why’s, where’s and how’s of the crimes they have committed to best inform you how to avoid becoming a victim to them.
I am not as fit (or young) as I used to be, will this prevent me from learning what you are teaching?
Not in the slightest. Anyone can learn to protect themselves. Not all self defense is physical, in fact the majority is not and that is what is so often overlooked. However there are some elements of our combatives training which are physically challenging and may take some building up to.
Can I complete the course over time, I do I have to do it all at once?
We have numerous modules for many of the courses we teach. They can be studied individually at your own pace. Alternatively, in the live classes you can join others in the learning process and give your learning a structure. You chose.
Do I have to come to Spain to train and study with you.
At the moment all physical presential training is done in Cádiz province in Andalucía, Tarragona or Spain’s capital, Madrid. However, all of our study modules are available via private live videocalls, or group video conferences along with some of the physical preparation for the combatives courses.
Workshops, classes and curses in other locations will be advertised on this website as and when they are available.
Michael do you still teach firearms courses.
YES. Very much so. All small-arms training is conducted in private, at and indoor range on Spain’s Costa Del Sol and can be grouped together with any combination of the other courses available during your stay. Classes are two/four hours long and cater for up to 10 students and a minimum of 1.
